The ‘raison d’être’ of a scientific meeting is to promote the communion of minds in the quest for knowledge, a rare good that can be freely shared.

Knowledge comes in many flavours such as: the knowledge of facts, the knowledge from previous experience, the know-how of technical skills.
Knowledge springs from reason, talent, passion, compassion and human interaction; from raging controversies to peaceful team constructions.
Because we are people of action, there is first and foremost practical knowledge. Our primary goal will be to promote the growth and exchange of practical, reliable knowledge in a warm and festive environment.
We are delighted to host the 10th biennial WFITN meeting, to be held June 29th, 2009 in Montréal. With Nature’s collaboration we can hope for warm evenings, strolling the downtown streets to the rhythm of the International Jazz Festival.

You are all invited to share knowledge, friendship and music from all over the world.
